The conference is a collaboration between three ASE membership groups: the Teacher Developers’ Committee, Research Group and Policy Group.  Through keynotes, workshops and discussion, we will explore how we influence policy and practice through a socially active curriculum, through the professional development of teachers, curriculum design, and through researching pedagogy and teacher education.

ASE Teacher Developers' Group: Leading Professional Development in Science Education

The ASE Teacher Developers'  Group is the natural home for those involved in teachers’ professional learning - with members ranging from university tutors and education consultants to local authority staff, Heads of Science and leaders responsible for CPD. This expert group provides support and voice for Initial Teacher Education and Continuing professional development, fostering high-quality professional learning for future generations of science teachers at all levels of education. This is achieved through research, networking and professional development, and responses to government consultations.

Why join the Group? The Group sits at the cutting edge of research, policy and practice within science education. To further our mission, we need people with the drive and determination to improve current practice to join us and shape the future of science education.

To learn more, simply go to your ASE membership profile and under the category "Main Areas of Professional Interest" ensure you include "Teacher Educator/Consultant" as one of your choices. You will then be kept regularly updated as to Teacher Developers' activites.
