The 2025 Science Teaching Survey is open now

You work in education, which means you understand the challenges better than anyone.

The Science Teaching Survey is the largest science education survey in the UK and Ireland. In this year’s survey, we’re asking what you need: the missing tools, resources and approaches that could make a real difference.

Tell us the issues you’re facing today!

  • We know you’re busy. Adding your voice to the survey takes 15 minutes.
  • This year’s questions include understaffing, job satisfaction, and the gaps in support and resources.
  • Your answers will tell us what we need to do next to make life easier for educators. As well as informing our policy work, the survey directly shapes the support we offer.

The survey is conducted by the Royal Society of Chemistry, with support from the ASE and the other Science Education Policy Alliance (SEPA) partners.

All science teachers, heads of department and technicians in secondary schools are invited to take part.

Deadline for completion is 7 April 2025
