ASE Conference 2025 in pictures
We've had a fantastic three days at ASE's Annual Conference, which we held at the University of Nottingham 9-11 January 2025. We've pulled together a few of our favourite images below and sharing a few words from ASE's Chair and Honorary Conference Secretary on their reflections on the event. Also don't forget to send us your feedback by end of January - details below!
'The Conference provides a unique, rich and powerful professional learning opportunity for teachers, technicians, researchers and educators that updates and enthuses delegates to improve science teaching and learning. This year was no exception with some 300 keynotes, workshops and talks over the three day event and an amazing exhibition of resources and support materials.
The bringing together of the science education community by ASE through this annual meet up, plays a significant role in promoting excellence in the teaching and learning of school science. I have come back with new ideas that I want to use in my own teaching plus advice and direction for improving what I already do in my classroom, which is both exciting and invigorating for the year ahead.'
Christine Harrison, Honorary Conference Secretary
'The Conference really did showcase just what the ASE and its community is all about. A broad church of educators and educational stakeholders coming together to share ideas, communicate the latest developments and discuss the issues and challenges ahead. From keynotes and panel sessions, to workshops, teach-meets and tech-meets, two exhibition halls and formal and social networking events, the conference had it all. It was a delight to be with so many enthusiastic and like-minded people.
I, like many, came away refreshed and re-invigorated and keen to put the learning into practice.'
Jane Oldham, RSciTech, Chair, The Association for Science Education
