Encouraging girls into STEM starts with non-gender-specific educational resources. BESA describes the many initiatives over the past few years to entice more girls to study STEM subjects.

Numerous initiatives have sprung up over the past few years to entice more girls to study STEM subjects. In doing so, they have brought girls in STEM to the top of the education agenda and helped to accelerate progress towards understanding that boys and girls should be free to do what they want, regardless of their gender.
